Day 30
I'm on day 30!!! I honesty never thought that I'd make it this far. The longest I've gone with out drinking before this was 26 days and that was back in December. I have had a goal to stay sober for at least 30 days for years. I can't tell you how many day 1s I've had. I have been relying on this site to keep me sober. I'm a little shy for AA at the moment. I've gone a handful of times, I would always get nervous and leave. It feels so unbelievable good to say I've gone a month without drinking. I had a coupon for carvel so I got myself a Nutella ice cream cone today. It hasn't been easy to make it to 30 days but it was well worth it.

Hey! Guess what!? If you can go a whole year on your own willpower, then that means you're probably not an alcoholic!
If you do fail miserably.. then you're well on your way to completing step one.
"We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, that our lives have become unmanageable."
The two questions you need to honestly answer to yourself for step one is:
Can I go for an extended length of time without drinking on my own willpower?
Can I stop drinking after I have started (only have 1 or 2 and be content).
