If you are addicted to beer chances are you are addicted to all forms of alcohol and could be addicted to other forms of mind altering substances if you were to pursue them. At least that was the case with me and many others that I know.
Anyhow, stick around and talk to some people. Welcome! Nice to have you here!

Welcome Leans. I was a beer-only drinker for many many years too. I've found that my life is a lot better without it, and giving it up is very possible. Hope you stick around, there is a wealth of support and information here on SR.
Hello and welcome. You'll find lots of support here.
At the end of my drinking, I was pouring down a couple of shooters of whiskey at 8am to kick things in. Then it was three forty ouncers or a twelve pack a day.
The day after was a nightmare, but after a few days of recovery, I was back at it.
I hope you can stop now before you reach the lows I did. This is a great place for support, but it's up to you to stop before things get worse and a lot of times they do.
Best to you and I know how you feel, and you never have to feel that way again.

Sounds exactly like the way I was, more of a health thing but I still drank too much to be considered normal.

Hi leans, beer addicted here too. Unfortunately in time that amount can increase to 3 to 4 times that much. Leaving you comatosed each night. Then the brain is being effected. SR is a great place to learn what others have experienced and how addiction has made them feel. Welcome and best wishes!
