My life begins today - day one
Hey everyone. I'm erika and I'm 21. I've been suffering from amphetamine addiction since I was 15. Because of this I've lost jobs, intimate relationships, and a lot of important aspects of my life. Without them, I feel lazy and useless. I find myself eating a lot in between uses, and end up fearing that I'm getting fat because of it. This being one my worst triggers, I almost immediately dive back into speed. I have plenty of support from my family and friends. Some even who have gone through what I'm going through now. It would great to hear from more who are in the same boat I'm in. I want to be free of this, and the only way that will happen is if I remain positive, and have as much support as I can.. Can't wait to talk to you guys
Thanks, as long as you communicate and ask and find help, either here or in person, you will make the trek just fine. Unfortunately I relapsed not to long ago and I am on day 4, BUT I have returned here for the support I need.
Hey Erika... I don't have the same addition as you but I understand addiction all to well.
There is a lot of help here in Maine. You are three miles from me. I am in SOPO.
Stick with it as there are a lot of rewards for caring for yourself.

Hey ken, thanks for the support. And you're right, Maine does have many programs to help all addictions and mental illnesses. I've heard too many times of how rewarding sobriety feels. It can be a scary feeling though.
Thanks you for your support ken.
And what a coincidence that you live in sopo. That's where I grew up.
How is your addiction/recovering going?
