Was wondering if anyone here has experienced neuropathy due to alcoholism. I'm having a pins and needles/burning sensation in my feet and hands and wonder if it is due to my alcoholism.

I had symptoms of this on my left side only during my recent month and a half long binge. It has subsided since quitting 2 weeks ago.

The only real way to find out what it is and whats caused it is to see your Dr.

I have lifelong neuropathy anyway, but it's it;'s a lot better since I stopped drinking

A Dr is probably the best way to go for some proper diagnosis!!

I agree that you should visit your local Dr. as well. I still get some of this, and when its bad I use a product called Derma Mag MAGNESIUM OIL its otc. I found mine in a local natural remedy store. I spray it on heavy and chill. But deffinatly check with your Doctor.

Is that what it is ha!I new it was drinking but had no idea what it was and to scared to go to the dr.

Thanks all. I did go to my doc about a month ago and had blood work. I discussed my alcohol abuse history with her as well. The only thing abnormal in my tests was a very low level of vitamin d. I guess time will tell, I am abstaining from alcohol and taking a high dose of vitamin d/exercising.

I should also say the doctor didn't pin the neuropathy on my alcohol use specifically. That's why I'm curious to hear if others with alcoholism have experienced it.
