Don't bother getting a pen and paper... just read... if you can't
answer them, just keep going.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.
5. Name the last five Academy Award winners for Best Actor and Actress.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remembers the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They're the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Now here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. Name three teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worth while.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson?
The people who make a difference in your life aren't the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They're the ones who care.
(Wishing you a BEAUTIFUL day!)
---------------------------------------------------------------
I read this today and it made me smile and grateful for all the good people in my life. I sometimes forget them in my troubled times but they are the people who inspired me to keep going, never give up and to follow my dreams.
Today, let's cheer for the people who have made a positive difference in our lives. And maybe, as payback, we too can reach out to one person who needs us, who needs a kind word or a moment of kindness.
Hugs

I agree, it is a keeper! Thank you for this Ann. At first I thought, O no, I am stupid b/c I have no idea of these answers. Then I read the second half! What a great post, thank you so much Ann. You always have the best things to share, I want you to know how much I value you and thank you!
Have a wonderful day my friend!
Have a wonderful day my friend!
Lol, Hopeful, I hate tests too.
You know, as I thought my way through the second part, I am even more grateful that my answers included more people than asked for. I am so blessed to have wonderful people in my life, and some strong women in my family who have since passed, my mother, my grandmother and great aunt, and the best mother-in-law anyone could wish for. I need to honour them by being there for the generations that follow mine. We are each immortal if our lessons and history are passed on to those who follow.
I'm glad you all enjoyed this. It gave me a lift when I needed one this morning.
