Well day one is coming to an end. Fought some bad cravings earlier and I feel good now. Usually the first few nights are the worst though ... Dreading sleeplessness, but i know it will pass and i have to suck it up for a little while. For now I am just enjoying a sober evening for once, actually cooked a nice curry earlier, usually I'd be eating fast food garbage with a belly full of alcohol.

Here's to day two! (Drinking my Poland Spring)!

For me, the first three days were hard and then it got better day by day. Get thru the first few days to start a whole new life.

Well done Thanos i am on day 3 and i am just hoping it gets a little easier in time at the minute its still very early days for me but we all have to start somewhere. Anyone else know if it gets easier just needing some support right now to get me through the early stages. thanks. sorry to hijak your thread thanos. apologies.

Thank you everyone, I haven't been online so just seeing all of these kind responses. Had incredible anxiety, headaches, and overwhelming misanthropic anger the last two days, but I think I am through the worst soon. Sleeping was actually easier than I anticipated so I am grateful for that! A few more days of this would be too much, but I believe the crazy feelings will become less crazy before then.
