The Wedding

I wanted to post an update for those of you that who have read my posts. My son got married on Saturday. I did attend. I rented a house with my daughter for the weekend. My son and 2 of his friends stayed with us on Friday night. I felt so blessed and grateful to have spent that time with him. It was a lot of remembering the past, but we were only talking about their pasts and when they spent days at my house, and called me mom.

Next day had to get up early to get my hair done, then since my daughter was the wedding planner had to pick up the flowers. That town was having a fair that day, and all the streets were blocked, so it took a lot longer then it should have. I actually had to get dressed in a bathroom at the church.

The wedding was terrific, I had a really good time. My nephew walked me in for the introduction of the family and bridal party, I never did tell my son what song I really wanted to dance with him to, but he remembered, and he danced " What a Wonderful World" with me.

Everything just turned out so good and I am extremely happy.

That made me all teary-eyed. That he remembered the song.

The first dance that they did together, they did a fox trot. I never knew my son had it in him to dance. Other then being into chemical warfare my dil is also a dance instructor. She taught him, the dance was beautiful. I had tears of joy all night.

Amy, I'm so, so, so happy for you. I know how difficult the time was leading up to this and it sounds like it wasn't just a happy occasion in general but also a healing one for you! (((hugs)))

Wow, that's great news and wonderful memories for you to keep. You should pat yourself on the back for successfully navigating the dangerous pre-wedding waters!
