Day 9 - Slowing of the Clocks

Hey guys,

Day 9 here and I'm trying to stay very busy. However, I'm now discovering just how much time there is in a day! I'd often spend my nights from 5pm onwards in a drunken haze in which even the most menial tasks were actually quite fun.

Over the past weekend I:
Did 2 shifts at work
Went to the gym twice
Cooked several meals
Visited my brother
Watched 2 world cup games
Read a few chapters of a book I'm reading
Went food shopping
Watched 7 episodes of a t.v show
Cleaned the whole house
Did 2 cycles of washing
Cleaned up the garden
Went for a long walk

I see the above list in a positive light, and I wouldn't have completed half of the activities above had I been hungover. However, at the end of all this, I still felt like I had all the time in the world, and this is when cravings for alcohol kicked in.

Any tips on how to kick the clock's ass?!

Much love to all

Yeap, cut out drinking and all of a sudden there seems to be soo much more time in the day, at first it can be a challenge, but I think if you plan enough activities into your day, which you seem to be doing, you'll be fine!!

Great Job!! Keep pushing through!!

You will find eventually there's not enough hours in the day...

Until that happens - well I spent a lot of time here

I started playing guitar again and that really has filled some time.

What about a long-neglected hobby or something you've "never had time" to try but wanted to?

Excellent job on 9 days RB--you will get this

Congratulations. You are doing great! I have noticed the same thing......so much time and not enough ways to fill it.
I think Hawkeye is right on the money.....is there something you have always wanted to do or try? A hobby or interest?
Trying to implement this in my own life. (I'm really having a lot of fun daydreaming about the things I would like to do.)

Thanks guys,

I've been looking forward to picking up my guitar again.

Broke 2 strings on it last time I ''played'' it whilst drunk.

I'll buy a new pack of strings and start learning some new chords I think
