Trying as hard as I can

Well, today has been a rough day for me, but I am channeling my inner sober self and proud that I am just plugging along and not drinking.

The days are lonely at times, long and hard, but I keep staying the course because I want better things for me and my family.

Today is rough, because I keep thinking about all the damage i've done. The relationships that have ended because of my addiction. However, I know too, that as long as I am sober things can't get worse.

So for today friends, have a good one, stay safe and sober. TDG

All we can do is keep trying. Don't give up, things will get better.
I know I have a hard time dealing with the wreckage of my past and I've been sober three and a half years.
I have lonely and long, hard days, but I know a drink will only make things worse.
You're doing great. Say the course one day at a time.

It's hard to accept that we can't change some of the things that we made happen while we were drinking. I think most of us have been through that. Try to look forward and see what you can do for yourself and your recovery and to help others.
