Investing $ in my sobriety
We'll folks, I've been on SR for a while now and was using my IPhone because I didn't have a computer. So today I felt like crap so decided to get myself an IPad. Holy cow, now wonder I was going blind reading on my phone! LOL!
Been sober for 16 days so I figured I saved enough to treat myself. Sitting on the couch with a tea and that new puppy on my laps.
I was able to try the chat for the first time. Pretty cool!
And I can put some smilies! Let's see....

That's great Pat - I never seemed to have a problem scrounging money for alcohol but can be really tight spending money on myself sober. I am making more of an effort to do that and it feels so good. We deserve treating ourselves!
That's awesome, PM! I was spending $650/month on booze if you can believe that. By the time I stopped I was drinking three bottles of wine every night and more if it was some kind of special occasion (I usually took a 3L box with me camping and always drank it all).
Always a good decision to reward yourself in early sobriety! It helps to see tangible things as a result of staying sober in addition to all the spiritual , emotional stuff.
Keep up the great work!

Congrats on the iPad. You deserve it.
I was spending $500 per week. I had to be the big shot, always drank in the bar and always top shelf stuff.
