Feelings
Hi all!
Almost three weeks.
Sleep, eating, mindset, overall functionality excellent.
I notice I am profoundly more aware of my feelings.
I've been gradually adjusting to this. Initially I thought I was nuts.
Now, I've accepted that it is normal to feel different ways depending on the situation at hand.
In the past, those feelings were overshadowed by booze buzz. At that time my major feelings
were guilt, anxiety, and despair, to mention a few. (I won't get into how bad my physical feelings were)
Enough rambling. Have a Fabulous day!
Oh yeah, Here is a thorough list of feelings, by category:

I hear you with the feelings! There are times I feel really happy and it's the strangest feeling simply because I've not felt it for so long. Just for no reason at all....happiness. Mental!

Wow I totally relate to that, I've been clean/sober about a month and a half and I started noticing all my feelings suddenly a few weeks ago. I was a bulimic and a cutter starting at age 15 then got into the alcohol and drugs in my early 20s. So in one way or another I've been running from or covering up my feelings for like 17 years.
The toughest one for me so far is anger, that is sooo uncomfortable for me and learning to deal with it in a healthy way is definitely a challenge.
Congratulations on 3 weeks and thank you for the post, it helps me to hear about others' coping with some of the same struggles. Keep up the good work!
