First Post, 7th day Today!
Hey everybody, My names David, i ran across this page a couple days ago because i decided to challenge myself. I was the occasional drinker after work a beer here and there, sometimes i would get a bit out of control and sometimes i would not remember what i would do that evening -_-. I wasn't always like that i t just seemed the nights i got really upset i would turn to drinking like i did when i was younger.
I ran into an article about seeing life after a year of no drinking could change peoples minds. So i decided to no longer drink this year and i'm 7 days in! =)
I'm not gonna lie around day 3-4 i was craving my after work brew like i always do...and yeah i was tempted to go out and buy it too but i didn't.
Your guys articles help me see that there's alot to life without having to be buzzed all the time. Who knows? a year from now i may never want to have a drink again.

Thanks =)! It's been an interesting couple of days, at first a bit foggy and i got a little agitated with co-workers at my job. I'll be back here whenever i feel like it's too much, but i know i can do this
Congrats on day seven. That's great. I'm working toward month seven and have found I don't actually miss socializing with a buzz. It was hard to begin with but I stuck with it. Good luck on your resolution. Coming here when the pull is strong is helpful.

Going threw day 9 now, Yesterday i was so tempted to go to the store and grab my favorite brew. But my guilt kicked and i decided to actually stick with it. My mind is a powerful enemy but i know that after a month the urges will subside.
