starting over
Last night I drank so much I passed out. Ive tried stopping many times but I am powerless when it comes to alcohol. I always drink too much when I drink (usually at parties on Friday or Saturday nights. I need to change and I need support to do so. Other then my my demon of binge drinking I am a normal healthy person that loves my family and friends. I need support.

I realized I was powerless over alcohol, and to live in this world I need support that I find at this website and in the rooms of AA. I'm glad you've joined us!

I literally just said to my wife, I'm so upset at having to start over (I slipped this past week after my longest stretch of sobriety in years). When I logged on to SR, the first post was this one titled, "Starting Over." I'm going to take it as a sign that starting over is better than not starting at all.
