Last Friday, I literally spent the whole day sleeping off a horrible hangover. I skipped work and felt like crap the whole day. Not to mention, when I woke up at about 4pm I ordered a pizza and proceeded to eat almost the whole thing. Everything about that day was awful. Fast forward a week later.....I am sober 6 days today and I feel amazing! I have had a super productive day at work so far. Plus, I get to leave the office at 12 and I am going to a Cross fit class, then out to lunch with a friend and then to the Chicago lake front to spend some time in the sun on this beautiful day. No more wasting days inside sleeping off a hangover. Today....I live my life!!! I am so thankful to you guys, your words of encouragement and just being able to come here and read your posts. All of which have helped me more than you know.

I find myself much more productive at work too. I never want to feel hungover again. Looks like you are taking all the things in that were missed when drinking. Enjoy.

Wow! Waking up and ordering a pizza the next day...Just like me!! While waiting for the pizza I'd be looking back through my phone and facebook in dread seeing what ridiculously sad/scary **** I'd be texting people... Ugh! But no more of that nonesense...

Awesome work! Your post is so positive and uplifting. I am feeling that same positive energy at day 4. The best part... is feeling! And not feeling shame, guilt and that horrible, awful hangover.... and having to cover it up with a drink or 12. Congratulations! I hope tomorrow is even better!

All those needlessly wasted hungover days.
Nice not to deal with them.
One of my tools in the box is remembering how horrible I felt.
Sobriety feels awesome! Things get done!
Yet every now and then, that lousy voice pops up in my head.
Keep going! You're doing Great!
