I've been taking 30-40 mg 10/325 percs every day mixed with beer to get high I am lying to the Dr. as my back pain is long gone I do wait till about 12 noon to take 5 mg with lunch then the rest with beer around 5pm I really want to quit any advice Taper? I think I can stop the beer as I have in the past (to lose weight) so I do go almost 18 hrs a day with nothing could this be a little positive for tapering and quitting? please help

Tapering of multiple substances is very difficult and shouldn't be done without checking with your dr first. Since you are lying to him, perhaps getting honest and working on a plan to taper with his involvement would be a good start?

I agree with the others. Talking to doctor is the right first step. This place is a tremendous emotional resource but you need to address the medical issue with the right people.
