Body feels battered
After i have one of those binges my body feels like its been hit by a car, back ache, neck ache and i feel all week and wiped out, thats after the sweats and anxiety have started to calm down, does this happen to many of you people. I sometimes feel like my legs are going to collapse under me. I always drink water to rehydrate and have just started eating normally again. Is there any good foods to make you feel a bit more energized.
oh hell yeah - everything you just described. The jelly legs. Big time.
Feeling muscles I wasn't aware I even had. Horrible
B Vitamins - if you have a blender, mix up some green smoothies. I find they helped, especially when eating solid food wasn't an option.
Spinach, Bananas, protein powder...replenish those vitamins!!
Hang in....you can do this.

I found out (sadly in hospital) that all the aches and stuff were the result of liver and kidneys just not coping with the stress that the toxin (alcohol) was putting them under. This was much more apparent when i dehydrated and my vitamin and mineral levels would plummet.
Pretty much ok now after 14 months off the stuff.
But then i was told that the next drink could do irreversible damage so that is part of my incentive.
Get a liver test just to be on the safe side friend....

Just a heads up, those aches and pains don't just disappear over night after you get sober.
Do what you need to to get through this. Get some time under your belt. Keep a positive attitude. And stay sober.

lol sorry don't mean to laugh at you...just reminds me of my binges. I always ended up with a plethora of bruises/scratches/pains from a fall I don't recall.
Some I couldn't even see, my BF would ask "um, why is there a huge bruise on your back?"
yup won't miss those times!

Indeed. Don't forget the impending doom feeling.
I hated it, my last binge was last week. I'm now 4 days in and not doing this anymore. I was clearly killing myself slowly but surely.
Hang in there it will get better. Best thing is to just not pickup the first drink. And work on finding the triggers that originally get your there in the first place.
Be kind to yourself.

Not for my binge drinking, i saw one years ago after and had a liver function test and it ws fine. I feel fine now, my feeling lousy usually lasts 2 days then i feel fine again. My local doctor is pretty useless, last time i told him i was drinking too much he just said well stop drinking then, Good advice there then lol.
