Craving
Think it through to the end .... One lager will lead to ten more and then perhaps a bottle or two of wine which will lead to dehydration and interrupted sleep which will lead to headache, nausea and lashings of guilt and shame and extreme disappointment that you are facing day 1 (or more alcohol) instead of day 11
Or:
Be strong now. Have a coffee or a soft drink with ice. Watch a film and remember it! Go to bed, sleep well. Wake up on day 11 with lovely hydrated skin and the priceless feeling of having passed an important test.
I think you know which one you really want!
Im trying to be strong, holding on for dear life, already people are telling me im starting to look good which is a huge booster, I just need to get this day out of the way and maybe il feel better tomorrow!

No probs chilled ,
In my experience they get less frequent the further you go into recovery . It's uncomfortable at first because you have to put up with your feelings until you get used to and learn how to deal with them, without chemical props .
You get used to it and more practised at dealing with stuff , with time .
Stay the course , m

It is still early in your recovery, cravings are normal but you do not have to give in to them! Make yourself a non alcoholic drink and drink up, take a walk, a bath, anything! The cravings will pass.....Congrats on 10 days!

17 days sober here after 2 years of trying. Never made it this far before, but nobody told my liver was stage 1 fibrosis and that I was probably going to die either. Happened 2 weeks ago!!
I've been having the most awful cravings too, but what I have done is keep up the ritual without the alcohol. I find myself craving alcohol, I get in my car and drive to Fresh Market instead of the liquor store. I buy a bottle (glass to get the "feeling" right) of pomegranate or lime sparking water, bring it home, crack it open, and pound it like it was vodka, I even use my favorite cup. Tasty and hydrating too! What's more, the ritual stops a little bit of the drinking itch -- not much but its usually enough to make me feel proud and jubilant about not stopping for liquor and that ends up being enough to keep me sober for now. Woooo! thats how im currently dealing with the cravings. Your mileage may vary.
