Apologies for so many posts. I am so angry with myself to getting to the point I have with alcohol. I feel like I should have known better and stopped sooner. I am almost 50 and just looking at this seriously now. I feel very mad at myself and ashamed.

Hi snakes. You can't post too much - that's why we're all here - to support each other.

I know how you feel, but please don't go down that road. Regret and guilt is understandable, but you can't change a thing. When I was first rejoining the human race I was filled with remorse - a couple times it led me back to drinking. We need to forgive ourselves in order to move on and make the most of the time we have left. No one intentionally ruins their life. Be kind and patient with yourself. Hold your head up and keep reaching out for a brighter day.
