Curious.....
Recently, Dr. Phil has been publicizing an app for smart phones that his wife developed---concerning domestic violence...in particular, summonsing immediate help (among other things).
I see this as a good thing--if it catches on.
I am curious if anyone has seen, used or heard of this app.

If you're really interested, check out Robin's website 'whengeorgiasmiled dot org.'
All the info is pretty much there; the app can be gotten for both iPhones and Androids.......and that' about all this ole gal (who still has her 'emergency use only' flip phone) knows.

Hello, The App is called Aspire. It runs on your phone that if you just tap it once it looks like a regular news app. There is a toolbar in the left hand side that you pull up and go to get help. That is where you set up your trusted contacts in case of an emergency. You can set the phone to contact certain people in case of emergency, including 911. It knows your location so for example mine says, "This is hopeful, I need assistance. This is not a joke." It sends a text and voice recording to those I have it set up for.
You simply hit the app three times (rather forcefully) and it will send the info out. It also begins recording on your phone.
This is very cool for domestic reasons, I also put it on my teen's phone for safety reasons.
