Day 2
Today is day 2 for me.
I had a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep last night. I feel very anxious and was still feeling ashamed about my antics the previous night.
I woke up and decided that I did not want to actually go into the office to work, but opted to work from home instead (fortunate I have this option). I have been bouncing around, checking this site all day.
I am so grateful for all the words of support and encouragement that you all have provided me with. Thank you guys!

You will find that as you stay sober, the anxiety will eventually go away. When I was actively drinking, panic attacks were very common and always had some type of anxiety. When I stopped drinking I noticed that it was no longer an issue. Funny how that works
Sleep may elude you for a bit, but I also found that the longer I have been sober I actually get real sleep now. Your body and your mind need to learn to adjust without alcohol. It takes a few weeks for most.
Keep up the great work!
