This site is what started me on my path to sobriety. It motivated me to put down the bottle on my first day of sobriety - after 25 years of heavy drinking. It educated me to realize that I am an alcoholic, and not just a "social" drinker.
This site inspired me to realize that a better life awaited if I chose to remain sober. And, most importantly, this site supported me on the countless days and moments when I would have otherwise said "I can't do this any more - I am having a drink."
Now, 9 months into sobriety, I hate to imagine what my life would have become if I hadn't found all of you wonderful, insightful, kind and supportive people. I feel so very lucky. And thankful.
