Help!

I am presently dealing with feelings of guilt and shame because I drank. I know that my addiction does not define me, but it's hard to feel good about myself.

What have you previously done in order to feel better? Any advice?

Lol, that's my plan... I just wish there was something I could do to stop the feelings of guilt tonight.

Sometimes it takes a couple of times to get it right.
Just remember, you're never a failure unless you give up trying.
So the best thing to do is get back on the wagon.
Don't let your addiction define you.
Stick with the plan and take it day by day.

The guilt is there to remind you not to drink anymore. Don't beat yourself up too badly but don't forget how bad you feel right now. Let this lead you to sobriety.

Guilt tends to subside when we take action to live a better life. It's a win-win for everyone, besides those who might get pleasure in seeing you fail.
