Day 2
Day 2
Just checking in. Thank you to everyone who was so helpful yesterday. Day 2. Feeling jittery but drinking lots of water. It is a beautiful day outside and I'm trying to do something functional even though I feel crappy. Been biting my nails to the quick, so maybe I should go get some fake nails put on so my coworkers don't think I'm weird tomorrow.
Anyway, just stopping in to say hello. Every day gets better, right?

Take it a day at a time. I'm on day 6 only and the finally slept OK last night for the first time since not drinking. I feel much better than I did the first few days so believe the initial detox symptoms will improve. Drink lots of water, take walks or exercise and keep busy I'm still a little jittery but not bad now.

Everyday does get better. Just be good to yourself today. Take a walk, get some sunshine, drink water and rest. And keep posting! It helps to get your feelings out. We've all been through day 2. Just know that if you stick with it, you never have to feel this way again. I keep a journal and write each day how I feel. I'm on day 9, and when I thought about drinking on Saturday I went back and read my state of despair on day 1. A real reminder what happens when I consider moderation. It's not an option.
