Just got sober

I'm 21 days sober. Still trying to figure out how to live this new life. Ima drunk, and it's extremely difficult for me to attend meetings given my profession. Any advise is welcomed. Also, and good books to read? I'm about finished with the big book.

Hi and Welcome,

Congratulations on Day 21. I don't use AA either, though it works well for many of our members.

This is a list of books that I put into a Sticky for reference:

I found the excerpts from Under the Influence really compelling.

Still don't have enough posts to paste the link here, but it is under the alcoholism folder

Welcome boozedandloosed

If you want to go the recovery group route but you feel meetings are problematic. for whatever reason, most recovery groups do have online options now tho that really shouldn't be an obstacle at all

Some groups, like Rational Recovery, have no meetings at all

AA also has a book called Living Sober, a short but informative read.
