Today is Day 4

Today is day 4 of sobriety for me. I am still having a hard time with the guilt aspect of things I've said or done while I was drunk. I'm holding fast to the fact that I will not have to feel tht way ever again as long as I don't have another drink. Does anybody have any other tips to getting past these feelings of shame?

I am a great believer in random acts of kindness If it isn't appropriate to do something nice for the people we have hurt, we can at least put something positive into the world on their behalf. The other thing to do is to build up some sober time and space. You'll improve your self esteem no end. Good luck.

You can't change the past.. all you can do is move forward. Alcohol causes people to do strange things, myself included. Just focus on all the positive ways your life will improve in the future because you don't have to drink anymore. You're free from prison.
