"Full of odd emotions" - great way to describe the emotional experience.
Nice job with 5 weeks sober. Lean on everyone here. Great advice and experience to be shared.

Wow amazed at replies thanks a bunch everyone, what a feeling to now I'm not alone. Just got back from first holiday ever as an adult no drink. Watching my partner drink to excess day and night only spurred me on ( partner change may be in order). While he lay ill in bed every morning I was at the gym for 6.30. Feeling really strong, almost eight weeks!
