Just checking in. 8 months 100% clean & sober!

I aint gonna lie,its been tough. There were many times I just couldn't put it all together, and almost slipped. And even today I crave alcohol, but as I continue to live free of many vices now, things are seriously coming back around to normal finally. I was asking myself am I normal ? PAWS had serious impact on me. But by the grace of god,I made it thru it! And I am finally back to normal. For others having hard times read on,and maintain that will power!

Congrats! This is a huge accomplishment! I understand what you mean about having drinking thoughts; but the longer I maintain my sobriety and tough my way through it, the quicker the thoughts go away. Keep up the great work!

Huge congrats, 8 months is fantastic.
What kind of P.A.W.S symptoms are you generally experiencing?

Well done again

Congrats! Can you fill us in on your journey to sobriety? How did you overcome some of the day to day challenges? What techniques did you use to get use to doing the things you loved but this time without alcohol?

Thanks for your insight!

Hmm,,well lets see here. As for PAWS & me,the only thing that made PAWS go away was time (A Lot Of It) itself. The time frame that it took this time was considerably longer than in the past (about double, than 1st paws experience). It took right at 6 solid months worth of PAWS withdrawal for me,,and man did it ever suck,,I will not put myself thru that again. Thoughts of so many variable things,,I think I was maybe insane during some of it. I strongly advise reading the absolute definition of paws and knowing how to cope with it. I sure hope this live link is allowed. Good Luck ,& may you recover quickly! PS take out the triple 999 right after http in that link. I dont have enough posts to put up live links.
