Day 1 again
Day 1 again
Almost made it 90 days, the past two weeks I've been drinking vodka whenever I can, my wife is pissed of course, so I'm starting again. I really do want permanent sobriety, and this site really helps.
I had to fail a few times before finally admitting I had no control. One drink is always going to lead to disaster for most of us. Once I admitted that - life suddenly became less complicated. Keep posting gvrecovery. We all understand.
welcome back.
what happened?
what's going to change?
how can we help?
how can YOU help?
what can you ask of your wife to help?
how can you demonstrate to her the changes you're making?
just some random thoughts....
you can do this.

I'm new here but welcome back guy.
You know that you came to the right place.
An alcoholic needs no reason to drink,
justifies it and makes excuses. Quite awhile
ago, I quit for 9 full months, unbelievable!
One evening while visiting a relative in
MN, I noted that she had an ample
supply of beer. For no reason whatsoever
I started in. Nine months of sobriety
down the sewer! At the time I did not
truly believe that I was an alcoholic,
now there is no doubt, I am an alcoholic.
Be strong.

I have some health issues unrelated to alcohol, and it's during some of these down times that a drink sounds good; today, I'm picking up the many tools for sobriety and moving on.

Sorry to hear of your health issues. What types of tools are you picking up for your commitment to sobriety?
