1st of 2 pending DWI CHARGES DROPPED!!!!

94 days sober and things have been great! Very happy. Not even 2 DWI charges and jail looming for a cpl weeks could bring me down. Today was supposed to be a guilty plea, no jail time (that would come next month in another county for another DWI). I was happy to quietly do my time next month! Well, it got dismissed! Things were great when I was driving to court today.....and they just got exponentially better. Sobriety and living is unrivaled by what I was doing 95+ days ago. So grateful.

How were you able to get a DWI dropped?

I'm glad for you Forghetti. I know how much you were dreading the outcome.

Officer moved to another state. Very fortunate! Life has become way more manageable in sobriety. This is a cherry on top. I was already happy with my path, but this is unreal!

that is a fantastic turn of events!!!

take care not to allow the relief and the 'near miss' to leave room for your old inner AV to step in and start whispering to you about how "things are cool now" and let your guard down in working your sobriety.

I don't say that to rain on your parade - just a thought that arose as I read this and felt compelled to offer as a reflection.

Hope things go well with the remainder of the challenges you face - but above all, keep honoring that sober path!!! Obviously, it's taking you in the right direction.

Well done on 94 days. I'm happy for you. The dropping of the DWI charge was certainly a bit of good luck. Too bad you have another DWI to deal with, but that too will pass.

I think it was more than just good luck--the fact that you are sober makes a huge difference.

Sweet!

While this may have happened because the officer moved, I believe that all your determination and hard work played a big role too, Forghetti! KARMA Buddy!

Keep your EXCELLENT attitude going and hopefully the upcoming court date will go well too.

Congratulations!

congrats on your time and your luck with cop.

What FreeOwl says it what I was thinking too. If you beat all of this don't think it's okay to start the cycle over again.

Good Luck!
