temptation- to sleep my life away

I woke up- and wanted to pop a bunch of xanax and sleep the next 24 hours away. I am up now. I got past it I hope.

If I am sleeping I dont have to think about things right?

Anyhow I am up now- had my first cup of coffee. I can have a 2nd cup and I better finish the 2 bananas. I am low on the pain pills-

We will see what tommorrow bring. It sure is not fun to be awake at 2am and not have any sleeping pills because I used them all up.

now for breakfast.................

I hear you. Some days are like that. Taking a bike ride today to get myself out of my head. Hope you feel better!

Cheer up anykey, it is a hard road to go down but the view is so nice once you get out of the tunnel.

I am good now. It is the first 20 minutes of being awake that I .... dont want to.

I am under treatment for major depression. Please understand - this is not a "suicide" post. I am NOT suicidal.

I am 50 years old- male- with a variety of health issues- but you know what- there are others way worse off then me.

I so identify with this .

Don't overthink it , take the fog for a walk or take you for a walk

I could easily have slept away my first 6 months of sobriety

Good luck ;-) it gets better xxx

early on I couldn't sleep, then I didn't want to get out of bed - 10 hours,

but using sleep to not think about things is the same as drinking to not think about things. at least it was for me...
