Day 2
Day 2
Hello all,
I've been reading this site for a long time but have never posted. I'm on day 2 of trying for the millionth(it seems) time to stay off of coke/alcohol. Any tips to help with managing cravings would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone has a great day.

Hello and welcome.
Congratulations on two days. What helps me keep sober, is remembering the day after drinking and the horrors it brought. Wish I had a magic bullet to help you.
Have you tried AA or NA? They've helped a lot of people, including me.
Best to you and keep on posting.

Thanks! I'm trying to be a better person/mother/wife and I am thinking about checking out a meeting tonight. I was in treatment about 8 years ago and after I was "off paper" I quit going to meetings as I was not serious about recovery. I'm ready now.

Day two here, as well. Everytime I even think about a drink, I jump on this site a read success stories. I think SR is my new addiction
All I have to do is remember how horrible I feel after drinking. the miserable anxiety and the horrible guilt. I feel amazing today, wish I could bottle that up and take it when I'm craving alcohol. Best of luck to you!!
