Wowza!

Tonight is my last shift at the bar! 22 days sober and feeling great! Start my new job at the hospital on Monday! I am leaving great friends, my old stomping ground, and a lot of fun (drunken) nights behind me! It's a bittersweet feeling for me!

I understand luna - I left my hotel job with the same mixed feelings. You've done the wisest thing possible - time to fly. We're with you as you make this big change.

Congrats! Though I didn't work at a bar I was there longer than most bartenders shift! Only way out for me was to leave and not go back.

You will more than likely realize all your great friends at the bar were "drinking buddies" and not friends. There is a big difference

Good for you Luna, reminds me of my SO, she owned a bar for 23 years and we had some"goodtimes" there also but she saw the writing on the wall and we got out of there in 1990, I always thought she liked her Tanqueray a little much as she drank quite a bit and never seemed to get drunk? Puzzled me as I was usually carried out to the van by her to go home at the end of the night! She finally told me her "SECRET", she had a Tanqueray bottle in the speedrack that was just water and when the "Lovers" wanted to get her drunk , that is what she drank, switching up once and a while for the real thing, amazing and I used to scream at her that she drank as much or more than I did, LOL! Stay Strong and Well ! Bobby
