A bit of mixed news this week
About a week and a half ago I got a colonoscopy. I am nearly 55 so I was overdue. On Wednesday the office called and they found precancerous tissue in one of their biopsies. I hope "precancerous" isn't Orwellian doublespeak for something more ominous. I don't think so and I am hopeful but time will tell. The good thing is that this news did not put me into a state of mind that I wanted to pick up again. Hurray for small victories.

The good thing is you had the test done. I also had the same "precancerous" diagnosis and now I'm checked every three years. My doctor said it isn't uncommon for a polyp to be considered "precancerous" and the important thing is to keep getting tested. Now that I'm sober I'm no longer afraid of going to the doctor. I have nothing to hide.
