Day 12 - Gotta be optimistic
Hey there SR,
Weekends are SO daunting to me but I guess I just have to realize that it is just another day. I guess that I've been drinking on the weekends for so long that my AV mind has transfixed into something that it really isn't. Looking forward to waking up refreshed!

Congratulations on 12 days sober! That is awesome.
During my early recovery, weekends were the worst for me, too. I made a point to make myself exercise, stay very busy and be around clean and sober people. You can do this.

Yep joined the weekend thread and have plans for tonight so keeping busy there. I just have to make more plans for tomorrow. I may just go to AA and hang out there for most of the afternoon.

I hear ya man. Weekends are not our friends right now but we survived last weekend and we will survive this one.
Last weekend I was required to be sociable for a nephews birthday party... This weekend I'm again required to be sociable but for a neighbor kids party. I know everyone will be drinking but at least I can make an excuse to go home if I need to.
It might actually be entertaining to not be the drunk one this time. I'll be able to watch everyone else
