May Day, May Day!!!

So I'm back to day 1. Kinda fitting that today is May Day.

Trying to figure out what triggered my relapse. Made an appointment to start seeing a psychologist. Hope that helps.

Anyways, thanks for all the support y'all have shown me. Now, off to get the day started.

Mayday received Timmah... help is on the way.

I've read quite a few accounts of people starting over. One of the key takeaways is identifying what triggered it so as to prevent or deal with it better in the future.

Good luck sir, I'm rooting for ya.

Sometimes a relapse is just a bum on the road to bring you closer to permanent sobriety.

I think I hold the guiness record for false starts.

As long as you learn, that's all that matters

Hi Timmah

welcome back

Sometimes we can over complicate it I think. I drank again because I didn't have enough support, or I didn't use the support I had.

Sometimes I didn't make enough changes to my life and I was still around drinker or drinkers.

Sometimes I just wanted to drink and I didn't fight that urge.

Thanks everyone!

Really tired today. I had a work project that I had to manage starting at midnight. Lasted 3 hours. I didn't get to take my Trazodone since I was worried I would sleep through my alarm. Not great for my anxiety.

I did get some good news. My doc called with my lab results. Other than my cholesterol being high, all my other levels have come back in line. Shows me that my body wants to heal when I quit drinking.

Still dealing with neuropathy in my feet and a little edema but those got a lot better during the 3 weeks I quit.

On to day 2!

Just wanted to share a small victory. I had another project scheduled at work today. It was cancelled 30 minutes after I got in. Got to leave early.

My normal routine would have been to swing by the liquor store and stock up for the weekend. Instead, I stopped and bought a 6 pack of Perrier and came home.

Tonight will be movies and pizza.
