60 days

By the grace of God, I celebrated 60 days clean and sober yesterday. This was achieved through surrendering my will to God, regular AA meeting attendance, working with my sponsor, working the steps, and participating in AA meetings (i.e., speaking/sharing, service work at my home group, talking to newcomers). I have found that being active in AA is not overly difficult, but the difference for me in staying sober and happy is that I had to want to change and accepting that I was powerless over alcohol.

It's good to be sober. It's good to have my life back.

All kinds of landmarks today - congratulations to you!!!

I'm glad you mentioned how important AA has been to you. I've only been to two meetings, but it sure has had a big impact on my thought process. I'm looking forward to more meetings. Living in the country is the only downside - it's 40 minutes one way. But, I'm reading in between, and coming here to fill those gaps as best as I can.

But, thank you to people like you that continued to remind me that AA is a great choice. And even though it may not be for all, it's still worth a try. I'm glad I tried. And you are proof that it works!!

Congratulations to you!!!
