New to all this
Hi,
I've never been in a chat room before and am not really sure how it works so I will take all the help I can get. I have 11 days of sober living and tried this any times before. I need some help. Thanks!

Welcome Gratitude. You can click on the chat room in the top right of the screen where you can chat with other SR members in real time, here on the Forum we post messages for each other so that we having ongoing conversations at a time that suits us individually -- like a bulletin board. The Forum is great and lots of people love the Chat Room too, there is a lot of support at SR.

Hi and welcome to a place of much support and information.
As for help the #1 thing is to be honest about our drinking to ourselves. #2 is that we don't pick up the first drink no matter what. As we clear up we become aware of and work on the reasons we drank and go about repairing those reasons. Stopping drinking is a separate issue regarding long term sobriety which can be a process of relearning our actions and reactions. Believe that the process is well rewarded.
