A small victory

My husband is having one of those days...he's grumpy, short-tempered...and pretty much impossible to be around...so we ended up having an argument over silly things

I feel pretty crappy right now...but I didn't drink! I will not drink today!

It never makes anything better or easier. Wish it hadn't taken me decades to admit that!

My biggest struggle is anger. I don't know how to deal with it without alcohol...so far I just hide and have a good cry, I wish I could handle it better...but at least I'm not drinking...

Have you tried counseling or even considered it?

Yes I am seeing a counsellor...Cognitive behavioral therapy...Mindful Relaxation...meditation...but when I get really angry I forget everything I've learned with her
