Seven Days Sober
The weekend went well. I stayed busy after church working on one of my bicycles. I am restoring an old Peugeot. I am drinking a lot of ice tea and ice water.
My father was an alcoholic and he hit rock bottom a time or two. I am so glad that I did not have to hit bottom to stop. I have a wonderful wife and teenage son to live for.
I told my wife that her occasional glass of wine is not going to bother me. I am feeling better every day. I thought that I did not get hangovers, but compared to how I am feeling now, I must have been hung over every day.

I know what you mean. It's kind of like when I was working night shift for a year and switched to day shift. I thought I had been feeling "normal" all along, but once I got working day shift I found out differently.
Same when I stopped drinking.
Same when I stopped drinking.
