I'm back!
Well, in all honesty, I have been lurking again for quite a while. But I did find help here, if nothing else in the fact that there are so many people on this site and I need the support. It helps to know I am not out here on my own and if I can offer any advice for anyone else, than that is a good thing.
I would like to apologize to certain members of this forum that private messaged me about several things a while back as I was in the wrong. I won't go into who they are, but they know. I certainly cannot blame my lack of sobriety on anyone else but me. For my actions, I am sorry.
That being said, I am no longer a "lurker." Day Two again for me and I will not give up until I get it right. (Which for me means total sobriety.)
I have found support via AA and also checked into SMART recovery. Both have things to offer.
Here's hoping none of us ever give up.

Welcome back, Gibbons, and good luck on your recovery journey.
Sober Recovery is a vital tool in my support, and it can be for you. But it's a online forum. Approach it with the wrong expectations and you'll be disappointed. It can't replace face-to-face support or substitue for person-to-person relationships. But it can help you tremendously to stay sober.
Take what you need and leave the rest.
