Hello Everyone,
my last drink was 7 days ago!
I am a binge drinker who doesn't know when to stop. I have decided to really try to stay sober this time as my life is beginning to spiral. I have got a weeks holiday coming up in 16 days time & I was hoping that I would find the support to stay away from alcohol. I prefer the anonymity of a forum as I couldn't face a group meeting.

Hi and welcome, well done on 7 days that's a very very good start, holidays can be tougher than the usual work day due to having extra time on your hands, I know that because I am on holiday right now in the beautiful scottish highlands, first holiday since quitting drinking and I'm doing good even although I have a lot of spare time on my hands this week, but I've said many times on this forum I truly believe mental strength is a key tool in this battle, be strong and have a great sober holiday.
