You have just begun your journey. This is not the end it is the beginning. We have most of us struggled along the way. What we have in common is that we resolved not to give up trying.
Don't give up trying Emmy.
Keep reaching out. You will find people just like you reaching right back with help, support and advice.

Scared is ok. I was scared to when i started out.
I soon learned that i could be hopeful, unafraid and never alone again in my early struggles.
Emmy you can have a life free from alcohol and the pain and misery it causes you.
Have faith and remember that you are not alone.
I use AA, S/Recovery and a daily routine that helps me to leave that first drink alone and cope with and enjoy a life that used to completely scare and confuse me.
You can do this......

I drink because I'm clinically depressed. 20 years. I can't get any relief. Dozens of meds... nothing helps. I have deep faith and trust in God. I JUST HURT ALL THE TIME. Now my husband doesn't want me anymore....Idk how to do this.
Alcohol is a depressant. It is most likely exacerbating your depression and in many cases reduces the effectiveness of your meds. Does your Dr. know about your drinking?
There is hope Emmy. Many people here have been right where you are, and made it. you can too. keep looking up. a minute at a time, if you need to, dont drink.
things will get better, if you want them to. stick around.

You can do this and more importantly resolve this and recover.
You went to AA, that's great! We Sometimes think we can fix ourselves quickly and we get impatient.
Patience is the first thing I need to learn.
Your depression can be helped by first not drinking and by talking to your doctor. Seeing a psychiatrist is also a great option.
Pull all resources, they are there for you.
Take care

Hi Emmy. When I first recognized that things, me, were going down the tube with my drinking I went to AA also. Being undisciplined and dishonest with myself about my drinking I Had a difficult period, alcohol in the belly and AA in the head is a poor partnership which a lot of shame grew from. I heard things during that period at meetings but the most important thing I heard was KEEP COMING.
Many years later I still recognize that those words saved my life. Yes it takes time and work to get better but boy it's worth it!
BE WELL

emmy, don't give up. You can beat this! I will be praying for you. Have you tried going to a therapist about your depression? I know where you are coming from about your husband, my wife threw me out because of my pill addiction. I am hoping to get my wife and children back after they see and believe my recovery is genuine. It will take time. Work on yourself, get sober and keep working on the depression and in time you may get your family back.
You can do this. I will say a prayer for you right now

I know the feeling of being scared in this Emmy - Don't give up...Its a new day...you can do this. Make sobriety your priority & the other things weighing on your heart will work themselves out. ((hugs to you))
