Newcomer from Wales
Hello everyone!
Just wanted to say that! I am 17 days sober and this is the second time around for me. First quit in 1999 and then stopped quitting in 2005. I am retired, live alone and don't have any friends who do not drink so I am very grateful indeed for you all. I have been journaling and go see a counsellor once a week. So far this has been all that has been necessary, but it will be so great to be able to chat to others in my boat!
I live in the UK, so timing is different obviously!

Nice day today isn't it?! Unfortunately I'm locked in the house trying to resist going to the pub at the moment! But your 17 days have inspired me not too for another night, so thank you for that!

Welcome NewViv. As others have said thesis an amazing site. You've done so well in the past..........you're obviously strong and motivated. Good luck. Early days for me also, this is my day 21, i've barely been away from this site......and so far, it's working well.

I love being able to talk things over here - everyone understands how it is. I had no one in my life who got what I was going through until I found SR.
