update on my white knuckle visit to the doctor.
Thank you everyone! You were all very right. My doctor was very comforting and compassionate, and he gave me a logical explanations and possible alternatives to all of the symptoms I've been having. He also told me I would have my results at the end of the day, and that if I had any questions I could call him personally today. Now that's a stretch coming from him because usually he's pretty dry.he doesn't seem worried. I still am, but good lord am i proud of myself or what! I literally feel like I need a sticker or a lollipop as my reward.again I can't thank you enough, when I have the results I will post more!

When I went to the doctor a few days after quitting drinking, I was a basket case! My problem was high blood pressure, which I was already on medication for but it was scary high when I stopped drinking. Now, two months later, I've dropped one medication altogether and the other is down to 1/4 dose. I feel confident your results are going to be fine, and anything that may be cause for concern is temporary and will benefit greatly from continued sobriety and healthy choices.

It's approaching 430 in Connecticut and my MD Has not called me. Bummer. I called him and my results are in, but not read. They gave him a note to call me. Seems like I can't cut a mental break. Came home early to relax and watched an episode of my stranded addiction where a girl had a liver enlarged by 60 percent from eating plastic. She looked so fresh and healthy and had no clue. Then have had stomach cramps all day. Should I call the doctor? Ugh. There's nothing I can do to stop the panic some times.
I would imagine that if you are having stomach cramps it is from panic and anxiety while waiting for the results. I know that when I am really super nervous about something my stomach gets tied in knots where I am literally doubled over in pain. What I do is make sure I am breathing in and out slowly from my belly and relaxing my belly while I am doing it. Don't forget to breathe! Do something to take your mind off of it. Watch cartoons on television instead of addiction programs. I like Spongebob or Phineas and Ferb.
