Today is my 9th day sober... I am cranking, emotional, and a pure bitch!

I feel like I have lost my memory or I am unable to function correctly. I was craving pretty hard core today and i just sat down and started reading other peoples blogs. I am grateful that i am not the only one. I am tired of thinking non stop about wanting a drink/not wanting a drink. Will that feeling ever go away? I get to see an addiction therapist for the first time on tuesday and I hope i will find some direction.

If things didn't get easier there wouldn't be many people in longterm recovery

Early recovery is rough, but it will get better - lean on us in the meantime

I can promise you I felt exactly the same way and it does get easier as time goes on.

I think of drinking less and less each day.

Just remember day 9. If you never drink again, you never have to experience day 9 again. Keep going!
