Hang in there! I know where you're coming from. Resistance is the key.

That's exactly what it was like for me yesterday afternoon. Couldn't stop thinking about wine and I didn't resist. The guilt and shame today is horrific and my day today will be so different than if I had resisted!

I go for a jog in the woods. Also keeping myself super busy with gardening. It's relaxing and my alcohol monster crawls back into the dark hole in my mind.

Oh I forgot to mention, if it's really bad and I'm out somewhere I don't want to be or I'm stuck at home I get on here in the chat rooms and talk to others to keep my mind off it. Feel free to try it out and come say hi

You did the right thing by coming here! You have to keep reminding yourself that it's just not worth it. Sobriety trumps a beer any day of the week!

I sometimes feel that way but then realize it's not my husband judging me, it's me feeling bad that I'm craving it and I'm thinking he's judging me (if that makes any sense). In any event, I can't worry about what others are thinking about me - I have to concentrate on staying sober.

Christi, I hope you had a nice ride on that new bike this weekend! I'm not sure he is judging you either, I had thoughts of that when my SO would say certain things, but after 34 years, she has the right to say what she wants! Hang on tight and keep on riding the sober train, it will have bumps but it also will get smoother with time! Stay Strong and Well ! Bobby
