My 2 day spree

After 9 months abstinence i went on a 2 day spree Fri and sat. A bottle of vodka and countless lagers. I had not been going to as many meetings as i should have done. I have stayed sober today spoke to my sponsor and plan to go to a meeting tomo. My parents left for Spain today for 2 years, i did not want to mention my recent spree because i knew it would worry them. I am pleased i saw them off at the airport sober and left on good terms. I am feeling a bit better already because i have told people i know in as what happened. There is nothing worse than isolating myself!

Thankyou for your honesty, essential for long term sobriety.

Good news you have spoken with your sponsor and will be at a meeting tomorrow.

I'm sorry you stepped into this spot, but I'm glad to hear a positive tone in your post and to see that you are immediately taking action to get back on the sober path NOW.

KEEP STRONG, carry on!

Hi guys, yeh I thought it was important to be honest and take action now. If had continued it would have got worse. I am lucky to have escaped with a hangover and a bit of money down the drain.

Hi guys...on reflection as well I was doing a bit too much overtime at work and not fully focusing on AA. I will be doing less overtime in May and getting to more meetings.

Hi Bobby. I just lost two months sobriety on Friday because I too got complacent at my AA meetings. Didn't drink Saturday, but drank yesterday and will probably drink today since I have lots of beer left over, bought a crate yesterday. Look forward to getting back to meetings on Wednesday. Just wanted to share this with you.
