Keepin on

Hello! I have not posted in a while. Today I am 158 days sober. Everything in my life is better because I have stayed sober 24 hours at a time. My thoughts are clearer, I am in a relationship that is meaningful because I am never drunk. Even the stressful days are easier to handle now. It feels good to really start living.

Thank you all for the support. One thing that got better is my sleep. I still feel uneasy around drunk people, but I think it is because I feel so humiliated that I used to look like that. Now I am learning to grow up and take care of myself. Instead of running from my problems I am facing them. Sobriety is about so much more than quitting drinking.
