Tell Me Tomorrow Will Be Better
Tell Me Tomorrow Will Be Better
Been on a booze bender for the past 24 hours. Finally sober, able to eat something and drink some water. I just feel so damn low right now...
I have plans to go to a meeting tomorrow, maybe two. Any other advice on what to do to make myself feel a bit better?
I cannot keep drinking like this, I honestly believe that I could just die if my drinking keeps getting worse.

Keep drinking a lot of water, eat as you can - and the obvious, don't drink any more.
Detox is the price we pay for drinking. Try to remember how awful you feel, it will help later when you think you want a drink again.
Feel better and have a good day in meetings tomorrow.

drink some more water and have a few soda crackers. stay away from the booze.
Try to find a west coast baseball game on the tv, watch and fall asleep.
good luck at the meetings tomorrow, hope you feel better.

I quit 15 days ago after drinking 6 full bottles of of vodka in days , my maitenence was 1/2 a fifth of vodka night .
To answer your question " does it get better" hell yes it does, waking up not hungover is amazing , having a clear active brain is great, ididnt sleep the frst few nights but I am again . get tired naturally, and dream again,
Iwake upand my eyes are white, my skin looks better , I lost five pounds and I'm HAPPY!!!
I'm sure you will have similliar experiences and probably better , give sobriety a shot , it rocks !!!

Get some sleep. Follow through with the meetings. Cry it out of your system. All those things have helped me. Watch a funny movie. Listen to the radio. Hug someone you love. Call a supportive friend. Take a shower. Eat ice cream. Walk around the block. Do any or all of those things instead of picking up a drink. Drink more water. You can get through the worst of it. The fact remains that alcohol can kill us if we don't stop drinking. Would we willingly and knowingly ingest any other poisons? Because alcohol poison. Just tell yourself that. You will feel better. Take care of yourself.
It will get better.
It will get better.
It will get better.
No lie. First few days are rough. Try to push through as the reward is worth it. You will get momentum and feel great.
For me, I don't wake up with dry cotton mouth, my thoughts feel sharper, and every day I wake up with another day of sobriety it feel actually proud...something I haven't felt in a long time.
Check in when you can.
You can do it,
It will get better.
