I realize I did something pretty stupid. If you know what COSTCO is you'll understand. I bought the nicotine gum to help quit. Now I have about a f@#*&** year supply of nicotine gum!

10 years ago my neighbor started taking the patch,
Conversation went like this
Her " I'm quiting smoking , I'm taking the patch"
Me " hows it going "
Her " not bad only one side effect "
Me " what is it " ?
Her " my dreams are super lucid"
Pause : her " and sexual"
Longer pause: " they were about you"
I squirm unconfoTably
She brings the patch container over and says " look at te side effects "
Sure enough " lucid dreams is a side effect"
Me " give me a patch I want to try one "
Her " you can't smoke and take one yUu will get sick!"
Me fine "
She gives me a patch , I slap it on take a tylonal pm and wait for the dreams , sure enough , weird dreams ,
My only side effect was I accidently quit smoking for 10 years and counting without trying

Great to hear that your quitting smoking thats next on my list keep updating me on how it goes.. I have tried many time but just can't seem to stop the headaches and cough and grumpiness are insane for me.
Im currently quitting codeine so as soon as i beat this addiction its on to the next !!

Good for u! I quit 14 months ago using the patch.
The only thing I did different THIS time compared to all the other times I tried was I never cheated and snuck even one puff or cig.
I'm sure if I did, I'd be right back to a pack a day. (Sound familiar? Lol)

Patch works pretty well. I love the big patches, your arm itches and aches for a minute and then bam! wash-over feeling of nicotine. But more importantly, they helped me quit smoking.

Liss74 Welcome to SR, It is tough, swore i'd quit them too as I had 54 days in jail with none cold turkey, but alas I haven't. God I think it's harder than not drinking, at least for me! Stay Strong and Well ! Bobby

Yay liss! I quit last Wednesday I'm also using the patches and LOVE it!!! I haven't gained an ounce of weight and the lucid dreams are AMAZING!!!

I wish I had quit sooner it's been much better then I ever thought. Only had two bad days day 3 and 4!

Yes the effect on dreams can be intense. Apparently not everyone gets this, but I did.
